Our History
Skuldelev Doll and Toy Museum established 1989

Welcome to our museum, we are certain that it will be a journey full of nostalgia. The museum, which is 100% privately owned, became an idea when at one point our entire living room was full of dolls. When at the same time the neighbour house came up for sale we decided to open The Doll and Toy Museum. We bought the house belonging to Selsø Castle and Manor House and it is now containing toys which children of all ages have been playing with for more than a century. We have almost everything in dolls, paper dolls, doll kitchens and doll houses from the time when great grandmother and grandmother were children. The museum also has a big selection of boys' toys such as model cars, model trains, tin soldiers, farmyards and much more.

You are very welcome to bring your packed lunch and enjoy it in our beautyful garden and conservatory while looking at canaries, parrots and the garden pond. Handicap toilet facilities are available.
